The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online is reporting that the Stretcher Match featuring Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy, which took place this past Friday night on SmackDown, is more than likely the blow-off match to their current program. The contest which was the first-ever Stretcher match on SD, just like their Extreme Rules Match at WrestleMania 25, saw Matt walk away victorious in convincing fashion.
When the program was initially put together it had been expected to be a short term deal, as creative ahd the two wrestlers slated to begin working with orther talents in the very near furture. Matt and Jeff had been very focused on making the best of the angle with both fully expecting to steal the show at WrestleMania, however with the contest only given 13 minutes they had little to work with and it was very hard to make good on that expectation. The match was still very solid but didn't allow the time necessary to build to an intense climax like the one that Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker produced.
